Note
In 1980, while attending a party at the home of Camilla and Earl McGrath, Jasper Johns asked Richard Diebenkorn to donate a work to the upcoming Foundation of Contemporary Performance Arts benefit exhibition. In response, Diebenkorn drew two sketches of Johns himself, which were subsequently sold at Leo Castelli Gallery later that year.
